Words, Words, Words (Contemporary Horror) from TAO

Theater Artists Olympia (TAO) presents The Midnight Sun’s semi-monthly aural celebration, Words, Words, Words, in August. The August installment highlights “Contemporary Horror: The Darkest Minds of the 20th Century.”

The aim of the Words, Words, Words series, according to TAO, is to “share and give voice to exciting pieces of literature by the writers who’ve had an impact on the world around us.”

In this night of the ongoing series, TAO offers readings derived from contemporary horror writers, including dark tales from Clive Barker, Stephen King, Harlan Ellison, Alvin Schwartz and others.

Past Words, Words, Words have featured “Beat Generation” writings in April and readings from Edgar Allen Poe in December 2015. On Sept. 9 and 19, it will feature classic works of science fiction.

TAO is a collective of local artists committed to producing high quality theater. TAO’s focus is on producing materials that are thematically more provocative, and interpretations of classics more experimental than generally found in the Olympia area. The group’s mission is to present creative theatrical pieces that are under-represented in the community.
