I’m Ellis Boran, and it is a pleasure to start my own film review column, “Cine-Files!” My first movie review will be on the new animated film Spiderman: Into the Spider-Verse.
Spiderman: Into the Spider-Verse is about a young boy named Miles Morales who is intrigued and bewildered at becoming the new Spiderman. Miles Morales and his companions find themselves traveling through different phases of their journey in a time paradox. I believe that this movie does a great job expressing the characters’ personalities, as if the writers could sense what the characters were feeling. In Spiderman: Into the Spider-Verse, Marvel created a new, huge event in that this is the first Spiderman movie in which an African American voices the main character. One thing that the movie could’ve done without is the overwhelming number of backup/side characters; these characters seem to fall into obscurity after the final climax.

Spiderman: Into the Spider-Verse is a movie that I would recommend.
