Bubbles & Bling: Meet InGenius! Mosaic Artist Donna Rae McIntosh

On Saturday evening May 20th from 5:00-8:00 PM at InGenius! Local Artisan Gallery & Boutique in Yelm, join us for an art show & reception for InGenius! featured artist and Roy resident Donna Rae McIntosh. Her mosaic work drops jaws and for a year has added a sparkling dimension to our InGenius! walls.
Our theme celebrating Donna Rae’s work, “Bubbles & Bling,” says it all. She happens to fancy bubbly wines, and The Wine Cellar of Yelm happens to offer the fanciest, blingiest bottle of bubbly deliciousness around (and it’s organic!): Pizzolato Italian Spumante Brut Rosé, which your mouth can savor as your eyes savor Donna Rae’s effervescent mosaic creations — mirrors, wall hangings, functional pieces like napkin holders, and garden art. This pairing is a match made in mosaic artist/wine heaven! From news on its release in 2019, “The new M*USE bottle is part of Pizzolato’s “Wine and Design” experience, unique with its 3D diamond design, inspiring the muse within. As a verb, to muse is to consider something thoughtfully. As a noun, it means a person — especially a woman (like Donna Rae!) — who is a source of artistic inspiration. The bottle can have multiple re-uses as a water vessel, candle holder, lighted bottle for the table, and so much more! It’s designed as a piece of art on its own and makes a perfect gift for any occasion, as well as an everyday treat!”
Available at Yelm Coop’s Wine Cellar at 308 East Yelm Ave around the corner from InGenius!, “This delicious and unique “Rosé Prosecco” is 95% organic Glera (Prosecco) and 5% organic Raboso. It is a bright steely amber color with fruity aromas and flavors of raspberry, white peach, ripe pear, moss, and shale. It has a round, crisp, effervescent, fruity light-to-medium body and a smooth, medium-length Greek yogurt, lemon curd, rich honey, and elderflower finish. The Rosé Experience gave this wine 93 points (2019).”
Other beverages and light hors d’ouevres will be served.
