[OLYMPIA, WA – May 4, 2022]— Join the South Sound YMCA for a free community event!
A representative from the Alzheimer’s Association, Washington Chapter, will host a talk entitled Healthy Living for Your Brain & Body: Tips from the Latest Research. This educational workshop will take place Saturday, May 7 at 10:30 A.M at the Plum Street YMCA. There is no cost to attend, and all members of the community are welcome!
Alzheimer’s Disease is a concern for many. No one knows the exact cause, but there is a lot that science has shown us. According to current research, healthy lifestyle behaviors substantially lower the risk for Alzheimer’s. Specifically, individuals who stay physically active, refrain from smoking, maintain light-to-moderate alcohol consumption along with a high-quality diet, and participate in cognitive activities are at a lower risk of developing Alzheimer’s.
