Stories of Food, Food as Story

September 24, 2022 All day

Stories of Food, food as Story is a workshop series that invites participants to explore their history and cultural heritage through food traditions. Participants meet over four sessions beginning on September 24th and ending on November 6, 2022. Workshop sessions guide participants through the process of:

*Identifying a food tradition through which they can learn about their history or culture
*Conducting oral history interviews to document the tradition
*Using interview transcripts and memorabilia as source material to create a short piece of creative nonfiction, an audio story, or a visual journal
*Reflecting and sharing stories through playback theatre

Sessions will be led by Meg Rosenberg and Elaine Vradenburgh of Window Seat Media, and teaching artists Genevieve Chan, Carrie Chema, and Devon Damonte.
