Actors needed to play disaster survivors in Olympia
September 8 at 12:00 pm – 5:00 pm PDT

OLYMPIA– Serve Washington is looking for some volunteer actors to play the role of disaster survivors during an upcoming simulations exercises to prepare Community Emergency Response Teams, CERTs, to help people during disasters.
The exercises will take place from noon to approximately 5 p.m. Friday, Sept. 8 at The Evergreen State College, 2700 Evergreen Parkway NW.
CERTs are volunteers who learn basic search and rescue and medical operations so they can help people during a disaster when professional first responders might not be immediately available. A professional moulage artist will use makeup and prostheses on the actors to create mock injuries. CERTs will practice locating and transporting the actors during the exercise.
Actors need no prior experience. All ages and abilities are welcome. We need about 15 actors. Instructions will be provided. Wearing comfortable clothing you don’t mind getting dirty.
Volunteers will be needed from noon to approximately 5 p.m. Please RSVP by Aug. 21.
