Artist Talk: Hadiya Finely

Join us on International Women’s Day for a presentation by featured artist Hadiya Finley at The Tobin Gallery on Sunday at 4pm. We have over 40 years of her Sculpture and Paintings on display, and this exhibition is her first retrospective and solo show.
Hadiya has a storied career as she shifted through techniques to express her lifelong commitment to the female form. Works in Wood, Ceramic, Bronze, Paper-mâché and Resin as well as Oil and Encaustic works. She was a resident artist in Guangzhou, China for 3 years creating many of her bronze works as well as mixed media paintings combining exotic papers and wax. This is an amazing opportunity to learn more about the creative practice and life stories of a truly prolific female artist.
