Free Movie: “Miracle Mile” @ The Capitol Theater
May 5 at 7:00 pm – 8:30 pm PDT

Starting April 15th, TRL cardholders can visit the Olympia or West Olympia library to pick up free tickets to the May 5th screening of “Miracle Mile” at the historic Capitol Theater.
After 30 years of searching, Harry has finally met Julie, the girl of his dreams. But before they have a chance to go on their first date, Harry answers a phone call meant for someone else. The pleading voice on the other end of the line has some distressing news: World War III has begun and Los Angeles will be destroyed by nuclear missiles within the hour. As this seed of information grows into panic, Harry races across a deteriorating L.A. in a desperate attempt to connect with Julie. Steve De Jarnatt’s 1988 cult classic has only found increased urgency today, as the fracturing of collective truth and social media echo chambers have only exacerbated the spread of dangerous misinformation. “Miracle Mile” is an intense ticking-clock apocalyptic thriller with the beating heart of a true love story. We don’t have much time.
Concessions will be open, and there will be special door prizes provided by our wonderful Friends of the Olympia Library.
