Heaven’s Kitchen is set in New Orleans, where the angels are competing to make the best po-boy. Will these fools please the head chef or will they make a mess too big to clean up?
Come join us with our friends at Airbound Arts in Olympia, WA for a magical night of circus! Featuring an original story, written by Prismagic, about historical worker’s rights and their desire to change their conditions, and different types of sandwiches representing the various working class cultures. To tie this power-to-the-people story together there will be phenomenal aerial arts, exciting dances, dazzling magic, and amazing juggling to delight our guests!
Two show dates:
Friday, Feb 20th: Doors open at 7pm, show at 730pm
Saturday, Feb 21th: Doors open at 7pm, show at 730pm
About Prismagic
Prismagic is an international performance company that creates full scale circus productions, vignette skits, and hourly ambient performances. We create all original material from the costumes and choreography to the cinematic, bitter-sweet love stories we tell on stage. The company is known as the circus for the tender hearts.
“Prismagic is what happens when you open a box of treasure in your grandmother’s attic.”
-Sir Cupcake, Sir Cupcake’s Queer Circus
Community
We create performance opportunities for phenomenal artists who have a desire to be in a production that takes care of them. Prismagic strives to deliver diverse casts, going the extra mile to employ people of color, queers, neurodivergent angels, and people of all body types. Given the care and patience that they struggle to find elsewhere, our artists thrive on stage.
The value of our success is measured by how much fun we have and how much fun others have with us, not on how much money we make on tickets. We pay our artists primarily out of awarded grants, which often gives us the ability to bring performances to marginalized communities and under-served neighborhoods FOR FREE. While our entertainers are paid a thriving wage, the art itself is a gift. We do this in lieu of ticketed events as often as possible.
