Call for Entries – ART IN THE PARK Entry Deadline:  August 5, 2024 How To Enter: https://artist.callforentry.org/festivals_unique_info.php?ID=13717 Artists Notified:  August 23, 2024 Where:  PenMet Parks Headquarters, 2416 14th Ave NW, Gig Harbor, WA Exhibit Dates:  September 9, 2024 – March 6, 2025 Admission:   Free to All Visitors, Monday – Friday (9 AM-5 PM)   About Art in the Park Peninsula Art League (PAL) and Peninsula Metropolitan Park District (PenMet Parks) have joined forces to sponsor Art in the Park, and bring exciting new art activities and education to the Gig Harbor Peninsula and beyond. As part of this collaborative effort, PAL is procuring artwork for public display at PenMet Parks’ facilities.   PenMet Parks’ headquarters building looks over the fabulous new Recreation Center (RC) and event lawn (set to open in late 2024). The 58,000SF facility is designed for indoor sports, walking, and community gathering spaces. It is accessible from the Cushman Trail.   This beautiful venue attracts a diverse array of art enthusiasts and prospective buyers. The six-month exhibit with no commission charged on sales, offers artists an exceptional opportunity to engage with a broad audience.   Art Categories: Photo/digital, two-dimensional (large artwork and tapestries encouraged)   Eligibility: Open to Washington State Artists   Juror:  Sarah Kavage is a Washington-based visual artist, urban planner and cultural organizer. Her art practice combines creativity, place, ephemerality, and ecology.
