This summer Olympia will host a number of authors and writers at events ranging from book signings to story readings. Literary enthusiasts are encouraged to come out and lend their support to the written word.
The Interminables
Paige Orwin will visit the Olympia Timberland Library to discuss her first book, The Interminables, a novel inspired by video games, monster movies and her love of history. Browsers Bookshop will host a signing as well.

Mattress

Stuck in the Mud
Simon Calcavecchia will read from his new children’s book, Stuck in the Mud. Calcavecchia’s works are inspired by his own personal experiences, with the common theme of perseverance in the face of difficulty.

Creative Colloquy Olympia
South Sound writers meet up once a month for a night of beverages and readings at OlyCC. This month features a new location: Forrey’s Forza. OlyCC is split into two portions: a lineup of selected readers and an open mic.

Camino Divina Walking the Divine Way
Browsers Bookshop will host author Gina Marie Mammano as she discusses her newest book. Camino Divina Walking the Divine Way was inspired by the spiritual practices of Benedictine lectio divina (scriptural reading) and Buddhist kinhin (walking meditation).
