Gandhi’s wife tells her side of the story

October 7 at 6:00 pm 8:00 pm PDT

Who was Kasturba Gandhi? As Mahatma Gandhi’s wife, Kasturba Gandhi was an activist, a freedom fighter in her own right, and an inspiration to many in India’s struggle for independence.  South Sound Story Guild zooms in storyteller Roopa Mohan, a native of India, now from San Francisco, California. Roopa takes on the persona of Kasturba Gandhi, Gandhi’s wife, and tells her side of the story.  On Wednesday, October 7, at Traditions Cafe, at 6 pm, South Sound Story Guild zooms in two storytellers from out of town. At 7 pm, we open Story Swap, where audience members may tell a story, personal or folktale, about 8 minutes in length. So come to sit back and listen or to tell your own story.
