Where Big Stories Like Little Red and the Dancing Wolf Come to Life for Little Children

After a period of retrenchment and reorganization as a result of financial challenges late last year, Olympia Family Theater is back! Soon to be celebrating 20 years bringing homemade community theatre to Olympia’s children of all ages, OFT will be returning to those thrilling days of yesteryear and its once popular daytime performances of short, interactive plays especially designed to engage and delight toddlers and preschoolers. Now called Magic Curtain Mornings, each show will run no longer than 30 minutes, and will provide the littles a playful introduction to the magic of live theater.
First up on April 18, 25, and 26 is Little Red and the Dancing Wolf, an original play created by OFT’s Education and Production artists, offering a new take on the old tale that brings music, movement, and kids to the stage to laugh, dance, and be part of the fun. The doors open at 10:15 a.m., and the cost is $5 per person.
If you’re interested in being involved behind the scene, acting, writing, directing, and/or otherwise being a part of Magic Curtain Mornings, you can apply at https://forms.gle/6x4utLK2K5B4qxSz8.
And, if you want to support OFT’s fund-raising efforts, you can contribute to the GoFundMe campaign at https://www.gofundme.com/f/olympia-family-theater-needs-your-help.
